This the second book I've read for Brian Krans First one was Freeze Tag on the HighwayAssault Rifles Pedophiles is an original and thoughts provoking story A new trend just started in Hollywood Celebricide at Wazeecha CampA list actors actress started taking their lives for all differen reasons and it's all up to John the Celebricide reporter to tell the story of what exactly happend John Danielson ex journalist and now a proud member of Big Box service team finds himself in a little situation and the only way out is to spill everything that happened at WazeechaPrepare yourself for unexpected twists and pay attention to the headlines

I loved this book I kind of hated the endingI found Brian Krans' almost dystopian love story at the Strand in NYC I was first drawn to it's graphic cover and the first couple sentences was enough to get me to play alongJohn Danielson is a disillusioned journalist who is working a cops and courts beat assuming every day at his broke paper will be his last what with the paper's lack of funding and the increasing prominence of E News outlets and iPads When John uncovers a local vet who is agreeing to put down a celebrity for a cause he digs into it Soon he's covering celebricide having decided he's meeting both the pop culture and journalistic uota the paper lacked beforeBut why does the story open on John locked in a room with a dead guy? And how does he know the dead movie star Jesolin James? I can't answer these uestions without spoiling obvious but still wonderful surprises It's a wild ride and Krans is an interesting new voice I'll admit there are some parts of this story that don't uit gel but because you want to believe it you will Go John Wait go Steve

Following in the vein of books like Super Sad True Love Story this book is a great addition to the dystopia five minutes from now genre Like the aforementioned book ARP reveals it's future ness subtley at first and only interjects exposition where it's truly needed The subject matter is death's head humor to say the least but that doesn't overpower the plot of the book I loved how Krans takes what seems like a straight forward story and will change it up making you go back to read sentences for the subtle hints that get explained later Just when you think you know what's going on a curtain is drawn back to reveal an unexpected truth A metaphor for the true nature of journalism perhaps? The fact that the proan?tagonist is a hard boiled newsman who laments the fall of publishing certainly supports this The author does a great job walking the line of drama social commentary without losing the pace of the story Without giving too much away ARP is a book that will keep you hooked and suprise you until the very end

I got this book through donation to the author's kickstarter project I'm glad I did It was a great read with a huge twist at the end that had me rereading it wanting to look for the clues the author left to the ending Well thought out Fantastic even though a little revolting at times
