See this FULL review on my blog along with others at shesgoingbookcrazycom1 Raven Episode 1 ★★★★2 Raven Episode 2 ★★★★Power is a consuming thing Once you have a taste of it you keep trying to get another It's a vacuum What once gave you a great thrill diminishes with each passing day You must have in order to maintain the same levelI'll start off saying that I didn't enjoy this episode as much as the previous two It covered that in between period of transition from one major event to the next While the writing uality is fantastic the content wasn't as presentThe tale resembles a fairy tale retelling about the evil witch in Hanzel and Gretel As Raven and the king's guard team together to hunt down the witch who has run off with Darius Raven unveils disturbing information about the wood witch herself and the reputation she has built for herself Fearful that they are running out of time to track her down before she harms Darius Raven races against the clock Fast paced action packed and multiple twists and turns this episodical book series has a way of sucking the reader in at every turn And the best part? It's clean My Rating ★★★

After the Wood Witch disappears with Darius Raven joins forces with the King’s Guard in order to hunt her down Their group now comprises 5 – Captain Jack Grant two guardsmen the reaper Monroe and RavenIt is becoming evident that Raven feels responsible for her father’s death and will hold herself responsible for Darius’ life Though this mission started out as a redemption for one of the lives she had previously taken she feels she will have to redeem his life if he diesGrant is also very much enamoured of Raven’s skills as a reaper and I think as a woman as well I believe there is potential here for some romance But they are enemies so that might be awkwardThe pacing and intensity of this episode is excellent It will keep you wanting to read until you get to the end and leave you wanting It’s a good thing you’ll only have to wait a couple of weeks for the next episodeDo yourself a favour and grab a copy of this episode of Raven You’ll be glad you did especially if you enjoy steampunk I rated this episode 5 stars out of 5Thank you to the author for providing a copy in exchange for a fair and honest review A positive opinion was not reuired All thoughts are my ownThis review was published on my blog Shelf Full of Books

What a fantastic story Each episode is better than the last So much was revealed in this episode We learn of the Wood Witch’s nasty habit and the truth behind Darius’ affliction We are introduced to a new witchalchemist who has joined in the search for Darius and we learn of Monroe’s revelation Pauline packed so much into this episode yet left some unanswered uestions that should be revealed in Episode 4One of my favorite things about this series is the lesson at the beginning of each chapter I’m embarrassed that it took me this long to realize the origins of these lessons and how they relate to each chapter Each one is beautifully written like a mini poemI’ve already pre ordered the omnibus for this 4 part Steampunk Fantasy set in an alternate universe I can’t wait to read of Raven’s storyI received this book for free in exchange for an honest review This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review

I know that the episodes are each fairly short I can usually read one in just over an hour but it really feels like I've read a whole series of books at this point The characters have come such a long way is such a short period of time Raven has been dealing with her own trust issues while the members of the guard are still deciding whether to follow their duty or their morals The Wood Witch has some sneaky plans in the works and some new mechanical technology is highly suspiciousCan I just point out that this all euals to Chronicles of Steele #1? I have been already anticipating a second season of serials I am so devoted to this series and I can't wait to see where it goes from hereA copy of this book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review

In this episode we see Raven team up with Jack Grant and his deputies who were previously pursuing her They all have a common objective save Darius from the Wood WitchThe chase fills most of the episode Creeden keeps the reader on their toes as we're never uite sure if the simmering tension between Grant his men and Raven will explode before they reach their common targetThe mutual respect and may we suggest attraction between Raven and Grant adds another overlay to this tension Monroe's role and past also becomes a fascinating sideline which will be interesting to better understand in the final episodeCan they defeat the Wood Witch and her subversive powers and save Darius? And who will walk away with the boy prince the reaper or the Captain?I'm looking forward to finding out in the final episode

This steampunk story has it all Raven is a strong woman who is a reaper and you better not mess with her She is on a mission to fine what she lost during a encounter with a witch She is not one to have help during her adventures but this time she if forced to have the Duke's guard and another reaper along for her journey Along the way they add another witch to this mix The plot keeps thickening each step these characters make on their journey Every turn in this story we find twist that will have you on the edge of your seat wanting I already love all these characters and can't wait until the next episode is released What will they get into next? Do they find what they are after?

  8. Stephanie Stephanie says:

Episode 3 is filled with suspense and danger Raven is now traveling with the members of the Guard that she was running from and another Reaper They are desperately trying to save Darius from the Wood's Witch that was supposed to help him with his curse We see of Raven in action as the group tracks down the Witch she pulls out awesome tricks and shows her strength Raven's vulnerable side also begins to show in this episode and we see of a relationship grow with the Captain of the Guard Another mystery is introduced with the appearance of life like automatons in the southern part of the country and danger as everyone discovers just how the Wood's Witch plans to eradicate the curse from Darius I can't wait to see how it ends

  9. M. Maria M. Maria says:

The third episode is the best so far Raven Monroe and the soldiers continue their search for The Wood Witch I believe there is a romance blossoming between Raven and Captain Grant Monroe always than he appears to be proves just how so in this episode Will Rupert and Raven ever get along? Will they find Darius before it’s too late?
