Sebastian lives by a few rules as a VP for the Heroes of the Dixie Wardens and a single father he keeps a distance from committing to a woman and never letting one on the back of his bike He did that once and it killed her When he agrees to help build a porch he meets Baylee Roberts she is everything he would be looking for in a woman but he is not sure if he is good enough for the beauty who has a different perspective on lifeBaylee has been fantasizing about Sebastian since she borrowed well permanently decided to keep his hat When they continue to run in the same circles Sebastian decides he is going for it and Baylee is excited to see where it will lead Sebastian has to decide if he is planning to let Baylee all the way in though and make her his old lady can she handle to truth or is he willing to let it goI absolutely adored this book Sebastian is no nonsense and he handles Baylee beautifully Baylee is a handful her brain goes on overload sometimes and I think she ignores things sometimes that causes her to get in trouble I liked the whole MC dynamic and that it was just not a smooth romance they had real problems that they had to work on Definitely an MC series to pick up if you have not already

Sizzling Pages Romance ReviewsNichole's Sizzling Reviews Sizzling Pages FacebookSizling Pages on TSU TwitterSizzlingpagesEmail sizzlingpagesgmailcom When I have tears streaming down my face from emotions so deep that I can hardly put them into words I know then that I’ve found a story that has touched me deeply When I decided to give Lani Lynn Vale a chance and started this series it was because I had read the reviews of book one and saw that this was what I called a “Nic” proof book There wouldn’t be any cheating or sex outside the heroheroine But what I found was so much This book was layered with energy that vibrated throughout I am finding it hard to explain what I encountered in this amazing love story Yes I’ll confess it has my favorite thing insta love No the characters Sebastian and Baylee didn’t confess this love right away it was like lust but they were drawn to each other like nothing I’ve ever read before I just loved though how this author took the time to bring these two together in a slow burning build of passion They became a real couple and this story had so much than their relationship going on Baylee was a very strong heroine and had a very high stress job as a paramedic and also was dealing with two health disorders Adhd and a bleeding disorder and I loved how Lani brought so many details of Baylee’s job and these health issues into the storyline It didn’t detract from the romance it was enhanced because it showed how they worked together as a couple and how they had to overcome the obstacles that we all face in real life Real that’s the word I’ve been looking for This book had real issues and it had things that made this love story feel authentic I loved Sebastian so much He was strong loyal protective and possessive He didn’t mince words or try to hid his feelings He wasn't just the VP of the MC club no he was a firefighter who saved lives and worked hard He just laid it out there He wasn’t one for flowery words but showed his feelingshis actions spoke for themselves His past as a Marine really spoke to my heart being a mother to a US Marine myself But when he took Baley on a trip to visit some special friends my heart broke I learned something I feel ashamed to say I never knew before Visiting the cemetery of lost heroes there’s a tradition Simple coins But profound meaningNickels meant that the deceased and visitor to the grave attended boot camp togetherA dime meant that they served with the person in some capacityAnd a uarter like the one Sebastian had just left meant that they were with them when they’d diedThis part of the story just had me in tears and feeling so thankful for men like my son but also for the families and the loved ones left behindSo Sebastion didn’t always speak the romatic wordshe was all about doing showing and claiming But his actions were LOVE and it was so consuming how he loved Baylee When this book had me gripping my kindle and holding my breath till I was dizzyand gaspingI knew then without a doubt I’ve found an author that I have to have of I was totally enraptured and oh Sebastian has really taken my heartWith any MC series there is going to be the brotherhood the foundation of the club This had so many interesting and intense characters that Lani took the time to make me the reader want right now I want Kettle’s story and I want Sterling’s and Trance I haven’t looked at the next book but will be diving right in hoping it’s also safe for me I was totally consumed by this amazing story and this author now has one girl who will be watching the name Lani Lynn Vale very carefully Lani I want perfect Alpha’s like Sebastian Loyal true and possessive Write girl writeOH one last thing From a girl born and raised in Louisiana I really really loved the setting of this book being partly in my stateAny body who loves a good loyal hero sexy romance with suspense passion and intriguealong with an authentic reality type plot Give this one a goyou’ll be pleasantly surprised

For Lights to My Siren I'd probably rate it like a 15 and that5 was only because of two reasons I found it interesting that the heroine Baylee was both ADHD as well as having a disease I never heard of called Weelbrand's disease Apparently if cut the bleeding could be excessive The other reason has to do with how the hero Sebastian after she tells him specifically about the ADHD was actually truly empathetic and didn't make her feel bad about something she had no control overOther than those two things there's a lot of things about this book that did not work at all First in the beginning of the story Baylee would make reference to secondary characters being part of FREE I kept of reading the chapters up to the reference but couldn't find what FREE was After a bit of sleuthing I saw that the author had written a series of books about an MC called Freebirds aka FREE So this was a bit confusing to meThe other thing is that the relationship between the two characters didn't have any depth Yes there was sexual attraction but it's not like they really got to know each other Yet based on a few hours spent here and there without any real conversation one night of sex albeit hot sex Sebastian takes her to a place that's deeply personal to himAlso with Sebastian being a single father you'd think a meeting between Baylee and his son Johnny would be some of significance; yet it's glossed over in the book In fact the first time Johnny and Baylee are mentioned together is apparently after they already met and were on their way with Sebastian to have dinner with his friendThere were also scenes in the book that didn't feel necessary to move the story along I mean what does a man zip tying his penis have to do with anything? How does Baylee getting attacked and threatened with rape add to the story? It only served as a vehicle for Sebastian and Baylee's brother Lucas to injure the man who hurt Baylee as a form of male bonding Considering that Lucas is a cop that didn't seem uite appropriateThen later on the story it comes out that Sebastian runs some kind of underground fight club and that he used to fight himself There were no hints of anywhere in this book prior to this It came out of nowhere It mainly served as a catalyst for Baylee to realize that Sebastian's MC isn't as vanilla as she thought especially since Sebastian wasn't forthcoming and of course emphasized that she really didn't know Sebastian that well to have any type of meaningful heart to hearts The other thing that comes out is Sebastian's MC name which is Shiva Given the importance of road names for an MC shouldn't this have come out sooner? If the underground fight club is something that Sebastian was hiding all along why couldn't that have been incorporated in the story That might have added something to this relationship then the whole arson story arc something for them to battle over? The end result of the arson story seemed to be about Baylee rushing to Sebastian when he was hurt However Baylee was going to see Sebastian anyway so then what was the point of the arson story? For the most part everything between Baylee and Sebastian was hunky dory up until she found out about the underground fight club Even then it didn't take long before she went to him Considering their different backgrounds there should have been push and pull and there wasn't They just fell into each other Overall this book just didn't do it for me The story nor the characters weren't fully realized

In general I liked this mc romance Considering the generally high level of the writing I was pretty surprised at the constant errors in tense Fairly often sentences were written using third person in this first person narrative If first person in hard for you just use third person It's easy and we ll know it well enough that it is hard to mess up and frankly this reader prefers it I'd never read another line of first person again if I could manage it Another writing oddity that bugged me was the odd time jumps I don't mind time jumps per see but here the jumps seemed oddly placed Like the author continually skipped over scenes that should have been written Instead she would jump ahead in time and just tell you that a scene had happened and many times that was a scene that I had been expecting and even looking forward toAll that being said the book was enjoyable I liked that the mc club is mostly legit and I am not having to overlook the fact that my hero is a murderer The story also stayed pretty tightly focused on the romantic relationship I did think that just one physical condition would have been enough for the heroine especially since the adhd wasn't fully addressed in my opinion Also even though this is the first of a series I felt like I was missing something in some of the things that were said or happened like there were previous books maybeGonna try in the series

DNF at 52% I tried to finish I was under the impression this was a bikerMC read The H is fireman who wears a cut basically I didn't connect with either character and author spent way to much time describing characters from other series I would have rather read about the hH Also she spent too much time describing the calls the h would take as an EMT They didn't help story at all I am taking rest of books from this series off my TBR

35 Not badPretty good MC book I like this author Engaging cute fun characters Not a bad plot either It's nothing too different from all the other MC books out there but it's well written and worth reading if you like MC books

This story had great bones all the ingredients to be a great book but lacked execution Whenever a conflict came up there didn't seem to be a satisfactory resolution instead time jumps to weeks later and everything is peachy I would have really loved this book if all of the fights had actual resolutions we were aware of and if the hero actually apologizedrealized he was being a douche It made the heroine seem weak which I don't think she is

Jan 2019 reread ummm This isn’t my favorite I feel like this was pretty early in LLV’s writing career and you can tell It’s rough I enjoyed the story but the writing and execution of it was where it really lost me I think this could be sent back to an editor Also just adding or adjusting the story here and there would make this 100 times better
