Have you ever been held captive by a woman who is irrational and psychotic, or had to deal with a ghost who only wants bloodshed Well that s exactly what Mary had to go though Royce, a ghost, is difficult, wants bloodshed, and is trying to manipulate some characters into doing what he wants Ursula is obsessed with Royce, and will do anything to find outthings about the paranormal Ursula is psychotic and irrational, but Royce might be worse He is very bloodthirsty and is a difficult o Have you ever been held captive by a woman who is irrational and psychotic, or had to deal with a ghost who only wants bloodshed Well that s exactly what Mary had to go though Royce, a ghost, is difficult, wants bloodshed, and is trying to manipulate some characters into doing what he wants Ursula is obsessed with Royce, and will do anything to find outthings about the paranormal Ursula is psychotic and irrational, but Royce might be worse He is very bloodthirsty and is a difficult obstacle to get through There are plenty of examples on how Ursula is irrational and psychotic There is evenon Royce, his thirst for blood, and how he is an obstacle Ursula is psychotic, because of all the irrational things she chooses to do Ursula doesn t care about anyone but herself They are apart of the team They don t matter Yelled Ursula pg 658 This is an example of her being irrational because of how selfish she is being about a ghost finding Then Ursula tackles Mary who was about to distort the anchor, she held a box cutter to Mary s throat threatening to slit it if Kyle didn t put Jake back on the table pg 642 What person in their right mind would do such a thing When Mary tries to escape with Kyle and Jake, Ursula grabbed Mary s hair and pulls her back then said You re not going anywhere pg 661 This proves Ursula is psychotic because if someone wants to hold someone back, you do not grab their hair to do so It s very irrational thinking doing such a thing These are just a few examples of Ursula s irrational and psychotic ways There are plenty , but these are theextreme examples Even though Ursula is psychotic and irrational, maybe she has good reason for her actions Royce is very bloodthirsty and is a difficult obstacle to go through In one scene of Strange Girl by S.A Hunter, Mary is trying to convince Ursula in to thinking Royce can t help her but she can Then Ursula, hearing that, took out a pen and paper and let Royce guide her have to send a message The message read LIAR pg 652 This proves Royce is an obstacle because it s frustrating for Mary to go through all this work to try and convince someone to follow your advice and fail When Mary was bleeding from the box cutter knife from Ursula, Royce said Ooh, look she s bleeding Make her bleedpg 645 Another time he said Yes, bleed her, bleed her dry pg 662 These two quotes tell the reader just how much he enjoys bloodshed When Mary tried to get at the anchor again, Royce slammed Mary against a wall pg 676 Royce is quite a difficult obstacle to get through but Mary will get through him somehow Royce tortured slaves when he was alive He is a monster because of all he did to them pg 655 Even when he s dead he still tortures Hopefully Mary gets rid of him once and for all So as one might see there is plenty of examples about Ursula and Royce The two are important topics to think about because they are such a big part of this awesome book Ursula is a psychotic, and irrational women Royce is a difficult, bloodthirsty, and a monster This book was so fun to read Lots of suspense and exciting things happened S.A Hunter has done it again

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here Poor America being such a young country means they only have so many old places to haunt, so obviously a plantation house had to be in this series at some point It was a good haunting I hated Ursula and thought she was an irritating character so I wasn t too upset that she got her comeuppance I think Mary could have formed a better friendship with Jennifer and maybe she will in later books I liked that Kyle was forgiving but I think I would have personally dumped her for running off to meet a Poor America being such a young country means they only have so many old places to haunt, so obviously a plantation house had to be in this series at some point It was a good haunting I hated Ursula and thought she was an irritating character so I wasn t too upset that she got her comeuppance I think Mary could have formed a better friendship with Jennifer and maybe she will in later books I liked that Kyle was forgiving but I think I would have personally dumped her for running off to meet a boy even if he did turn out to be her catfishing younger cousin I really like this series it s fun and not too dramatic even though it is basically about death I would love to know what happened to Mary s parents though

A YA book If you have read previous books this will besatisfying Otherwise you will be wondering what the heck is going on until the last two chapters. However, for a quick light read and characters you might like from earlier books in the series, this is a book for you.The thing I like about Mary is her attitude toward her gift is how to manage the gift so that it is not a disability The adventures are a bit sketchy regarding the motivation of the extra characters but it is not trying A YA book If you have read previous books this will besatisfying Otherwise you will be wondering what the heck is going on until the last two chapters. However, for a quick light read and characters you might like from earlier books in the series, this is a book for you.The thing I like about Mary is her attitude toward her gift is how to manage the gift so that it is not a disability The adventures are a bit sketchy regarding the motivation of the extra characters but it is not trying to be Proust

Initially, I was really surprised by how muched I liked this series, but by now I ve grown used to it Mary is a well written, relatable character and her adventures are always so much fun to read This one, in particular, was really interesting and full of twists Beatrice and Jake were great characters and the family dynamics worked really nice The main plot was also quite good all in all, a very ejoyable novella.
