I was a little skeptical of an author handing over creative control to her readers Sure, the author has final say, but how can it work without the ideas and inspiration coming from the author But I went into the book because the Remember When series is one of my all time favorite book series and T Torrest knocked those books out of the parkThen I started Breaking the Ice And I loved every word Torrest has the uncanny ability to make the characters so lovable, while also imperfect They c I was a little skeptical of an author handing over creative control to her readers Sure, the author has final say, but how can it work without the ideas and inspiration coming from the author But I went into the book because the Remember When series is one of my all time favorite book series and T Torrest knocked those books out of the parkThen I started Breaking the Ice And I loved every word Torrest has the uncanny ability to make the characters so lovable, while also imperfect They can be stubborn, cocky, and downright pigheaded BUT they are so lovable you can t help but fall in love with them, root for them, cherish them Breaking the Ice is no different This story had so much going for it that it s hard to put it into words Torrest is able to make her books angsty, but not so angsty that it s overkill Sweet, but not tooth achingly so Sexy, but not dirty I can t say enough Her writing is beautiful, her characters are amazing, her books are wonderful Zac and Avery have found their way to one of my favorite book couples Their love story is hard fought, they had a lot to overcome, and at times it was beyond heartbreaking, but I loved every moment I wanted the book to continue on forever When I hit the end, my heart sunk because it was over.I can t say enough about this book or T Torrest Breaking the Ice was so beyond my expectations I highly, highly recommend it

Well, I mean, if I needed anyproof that T Torrest was my favorite author, this book definitely finalized the deal Because this Book Was Phenomenal.Torrest has turned me into an iPad hugger It s like I can t help but pull my beautiful, beautiful iPad fully equipped with a well used Kindle app in for a hug after reading one of her books I ve felt this response before, while reading the Remember When trilogy, but let s be real If an author can make you so desperate to give chara Well, I mean, if I needed anyproof that T Torrest was my favorite author, this book definitely finalized the deal Because this Book Was Phenomenal.Torrest has turned me into an iPad hugger It s like I can t help but pull my beautiful, beautiful iPad fully equipped with a well used Kindle app in for a hug after reading one of her books I ve felt this response before, while reading the Remember When trilogy, but let s be real If an author can make you so desperate to give characters hugs that you re willing to hug a decidedly un huggable electronic device, the author has talent.T Torrest has this in spades.I started this book completely biased I m a huge sucker for stories about hockey, I mean, I live in the friggin state of hockey for goodness sakes The first thing my husband bought when he realized I was pregnant was a mini hockey jersey, and my son was in skates as soon has he could walk Obsessed We are obsessed with hockey So when T Torrest decided to open her next book up and have her readers decide on major plot points, heck YES I voted for the main character to be an ex hockey player There s something so perfect about a burley, potentially toothless male.Hah.So yeah, I came into this book, knowing I was going to like it I just didn t know how much I was going to LOVE it.Right from the beginning of the story, a humorous yet tragic magic surrounds the cast and storyline tragic magic is an annoying combo, but truly, they are the words that best describe the plot This isn t just a fluff piece, it isn t just a been there, done that tale about a hockey star who fell for a non puck bunny puck bunny This is a beautifully written novel about life when things get unpredictable and how to put the pieces back together when you aren t really even sure you re working with a puzzle in the first place.T Torrest has this way with characters where she makes the people she writes about into real mother friggin humans who you want to be BFFs with, and in this case, have a drink with She doesn t skim on details, in fact, she makes a point to create some of the best described characters in the least tedious way.If you re looking for a book that will make you laugh and then shake an angry fist and then tear up and then grit your teeth and then chuckle and then cry, by all means, this book is PERFECT for you In fact, I suggest you buy a copy of this book for all you book loving friends you won t be disappointed.Six plus plus plus T Torrest is a writing goddess stars
