I bought the set books 1 3 I enjoyed the first two books, but stalled a bit here in book three Some of it isn t even the story, but MY situation Having a library book or two come in on hold with a due date , my audiobooks, my Kindle lending library book I had started this, and then switched and came back to it Maybethan once So, it was a bit disjointed in my reading I think I got a little overwhelmed with all the characters Keeping track of which are witches, and which one I bought the set books 1 3 I enjoyed the first two books, but stalled a bit here in book three Some of it isn t even the story, but MY situation Having a library book or two come in on hold with a due date , my audiobooks, my Kindle lending library book I had started this, and then switched and came back to it Maybethan once So, it was a bit disjointed in my reading I think I got a little overwhelmed with all the characters Keeping track of which are witches, and which ones are psychics, and of course Krissa and Seth is both Then there are a whole bunch of people who know about the witches and psychics, but aren t either, but still can use some of the powers and I don t know It just got to be a little too much Maybe if I d read it straight through without my detours I would have followed it all better and enjoyed it .While I m not uninterested in continuing on, I d have to buy the next books, and I don t think I m committed enough to pay for them

This story was another good read, however, the editing could have been better.

I gave this 3 stars, but I wish I could give it 3.5 It s a decent series so far, but it s nothing fantastic I ll finish the series, but I m waiting to see how they plan to continue elevating the threat and changing things.

I really rather like this series and enjoyed reading it, including this book, so it slike a 3,5 stars But there just are some issues about the series in general but specifically this book that are ticking me offandSPOILERALERT The main protagonist, Krissa, is far too little inquisitive for my liking She notices odd things all around like the whole Crystal thing layers of shadow in her consciousness, Tucker s inability to sense her, Lexies gut feeling, her calling Tuck I really rather like this series and enjoyed reading it, including this book, so it slike a 3,5 stars But there just are some issues about the series in general but specifically this book that are ticking me offandSPOILERALERT The main protagonist, Krissa, is far too little inquisitive for my liking She notices odd things all around like the whole Crystal thing layers of shadow in her consciousness, Tucker s inability to sense her, Lexies gut feeling, her calling Tucker Thatcher but never even gets curious enough to investigate And the whole Anya situation, I mean seriously, how credible is that If my father returns after five years of absence with another woman who he s far to familiar with for my liking, there is no way in hell I wouldn t raise said hell to find out what the heck is going on and to demand answers from him What is wrong with Krissa and her mother for that matter And staying with her mom She is just so unbelievable as a character, she completely falls flat She is so weak and backboneless I always forgot she is back and kept having these Oh, yeah, she s got her mother back now moments What kind of mother just goes of to work while her daughter is in mortal danger and not even protests when her own husband, father of her daughter and his may or may not be mistress want to let her throw herself in the line of fire And again with the Anya situation No questions No objections Seriously, her mom is supposed to be one of the trade offs for the losses Krissa suffers in this new timeline, where she has lost some of her friends to different personalities, some to death and has to deal with the whole Fox Owen situation, but what kind of trade off is she, she could just as well be missing Many of the characters just don t act like people at all There is the weakness of her mom and the lack of inquisitiveness, but what also struck me as totally unrelatable was that they never get angry Ok, so there is the lingering resentment towards Tucker, but about things happening in the actual timeline There is the Elder Circle, trying to rid them of their abilities, blaming them, accusing them, insulting them and just being an group of obnoxious old and joung farts, and they never even get remotely angry with them Then there is Dana, who is telling everybody what she stole from the privacy of Krissa s mind WHILE Krissa was trying to help her AND uses it to make a move on FOx, trying to hurt Krissa How mean is that How does she not get angry And Griffing, being a total dick and stealing her power Neither Fox nor Krissa really get upset, yeah, I know, Fox fights him, but thats it So yeah, I really have issues with this book and I hope that some of them will get better with the next one, or I probably won t finish this series Sad

I found this book subpar to the first two books I really did enjoy the first two books but this third one took effort to get through view spoiler I didn t like Krissa in this book It seemed to me that the author gave Krissa a lot of Crystal s personality traits since Crystal was absent for most of this book Krissa was too busy focusing on her problems and throwing herself a pity party on almost every page instead of thinking about thingsclearly and deeply She reminded me of Dory fr I found this book subpar to the first two books I really did enjoy the first two books but this third one took effort to get through view spoiler I didn t like Krissa in this book It seemed to me that the author gave Krissa a lot of Crystal s personality traits since Crystal was absent for most of this book Krissa was too busy focusing on her problems and throwing herself a pity party on almost every page instead of thinking about thingsclearly and deeply She reminded me of Dory from Finding NemoOh there s this person that looks familiar but where do I know them from look Owen s walking across the street from that person oh how I wish I could be with him but I don t want to hurt Fox and Owen will never understand and for that matter neither will Fox Sigh. Krissa constantly looses focus to think about trivial matters Besides Krissa I did like the other characters in this book I liked how the witches and psychics came together and learned to get along I spent most of the book wanting to slap Krissa hide spoiler I hope the next book will be better

I m still enjoying this series just as much as I did in the beginning I like that the author is actually continuing the story rather than just dragging things out Some series are actually just one book chopped up into smaller parts, but these are all separate, complete books Each story has a conclusion to the action occurring in that book It doesn t leave the reader on a cliffhanger, but I am eager to know what will happen next in the main character s life More has been revealed about her f I m still enjoying this series just as much as I did in the beginning I like that the author is actually continuing the story rather than just dragging things out Some series are actually just one book chopped up into smaller parts, but these are all separate, complete books Each story has a conclusion to the action occurring in that book It doesn t leave the reader on a cliffhanger, but I am eager to know what will happen next in the main character s life More has been revealed about her friends and her family, and new characters have been introduced. The love triangle isn t that intense for me, since there isn t any real question about who she really wants It does add drama to the story, though, because it creates tension between the characters Her friendships are actuallycomplex than her love life, and that s a refreshing change in a YA book Her life doesn t completely revolve around hot guys
