35This is probably my favorite Jamison book to date This author usually includes a silly mystery or melodrama or both that puts a damper on my enjoyment of the story but Love by Number is a sweet opposites attract novella with no drama some heat and a nice epilogueI do wish the ending hadn't felt so rushed The MCs spend a couple days together have a fight and make up in the last chapter I wanted to see their relationship progress on page particularly since they were so differentJesse is a carefree flighty artist cum sometime bartender who takes things as they come Aidan is described as being almost on the spectrum which means he likes order predictability and routine But most of all Aidan likes numbers Unlike people numbers are steady and easy to understand I liked the dual POV and the secondary characters specifically Aidan's mom and Jesse's gramps I want to believe these guys can make it work because they both deserve someone who loves them just the way they are

This was a very cute short read Opposites attract I really like both MC they were very likable guys My only real problem was the book felt rushed they only knew each other for a few days I would have a like to see the relationship developed But other than that it was a fun book to read

ARC kindly provided by the author to me in exchange for an honest review What a lovely book It was a fast but pleasant read and I had my joy with Jesse and AidanBoth guys are the total opposite; Aidan with his fixation to numbers and the statistics of the baseball game and Jesse being an artistbartender Where Jesse is playing the field pun intended ; Aidan relies on solid numbersBoth met uite unconventional and their journey starts even surprisingly When Jesse crashed into Aidan's car it is clear Jesse with the push by his grandfather had to help himThe book is full of funny scenes sparked with uniue characters who have all their little uirks and flaws But they are super lovely and charming with having these With Aidan being on the edge of being diagnosed as autistic as it was called in the book he shows a lot of the signs and he confuses Jesse several times with his for Jesse different unexpected behaviour The reader knows about Aidan Jesse don't so we see Jesse stumble and both guys are having a melt down at some point I really liked the tension the drama behind it showed the compassion but also how difficult it can be when you don't know your partner is autistic or at the edge of it and you think he is just being overreacting or a bit strange Aidan is not he is totally fine how he is though Jesse have to get this first and in all his actions though he hurts Aiden at some point he is never malicious He isn't just aware of it Of course that being no excuse it shows what's the matter isIt is a steady process but not only for Jesse but for Aidan too to see how the dynamics in a relationship works; and first both are just interested in getting of having an intimate relationshipThe emotions are there and I really liked how DJ Jamison showed them both guys reflect over their actions not just Jesse is to blame but also Aidan and we see it takes both sides to have a functional healthy relationshipWe also get an insight on how Aiden labels himself he confesses in the book he is bisexual and likes sex but not just only sex so being used is a huge problem for him I asked the author and she confirmed that he is bisexual but wouldn't deny he isn't pansexual either So in fact we can say if I get her right that Aidan doesn't really care about the labels or at least it's not the most important for himWith all this combined the book was refreshing different; I really liked the uncommon combi of sports and mathematics I never knew there was a term for baseball analysis sabermetrics but I've to say I'm not very fond of mathematics in general so I black things like that normally out D This book gave an insight of how this can works and it was pretty impressive I also really liked the way how DJ Jamison displayed Aidan as well as Jesse and especially Aidan is a character I really liked in the book5 out of 5 stars for this the diversity on so many parts of the story was great and I think it stands a bit out of the mass I really recommend it because I also see the author did a lot of research and knows what she is talking about In the forword she mentions that parts of it are ownvoice Review originally posted on my blog with added content Mikku chan A world full of words

4 StarsAs Jesse and his Gramps are leaving the baseball game where their home team the Kansas City Royals have just made it to the World Series Jesse has a minor fender bender When Aidan’s car is hit by Jesse while leaving the baseball game he has a bit of a meltdown He goes to every game that’s in driving distance and St Louis is definitely in driving distance but after the accident his car isn’t drivable so now what? Jesse’s gramps has the perfect solution and offers Jesse’s services to drive Aidan to St Louis Against their better judgment Jesse and Aidan agree to travel together to St Louis for the game While on the road things heat up and eventually explode and not in a good way This was a definite opposites attract story Jesse is carefree and goes with the flow while Aidan who is borderline Autistic is all about structure schedules and rituals I absolutely loved Jesse Aidan I wasn’t so sure about him I know he has issues and I understand that but that didn’t mean that I didn’t want to smack him upside the head a few times I do think the author handled Aidan’s uirks realistically and the progress with which he makes changes seem to happen graduallyThis was such a cute sweet sexy and funny story with just a hint of angst The characters were both likable and well developed I really enjoyed the story and loved the epilogue but the book takes place over an extremely short time period and I just really wish the author had shown Jesse and Aidan as a couple Still enjoyable and definitely recommendable copy provided by authorpublisher in exchange for an honest review

I like books about particular things set in particular places Jamison writer this book about a baseball fan who loves the probability side of the game set during the World Series in Kanas City and St Louis I love those bits of the story Aiden the math nerd may be on the spectrum for autism but Jesse an artist and bartender has as many social connection issues They both have loving elders in their I like this romance but it suffers from a rush at the end because of its short length I will pick up another book by this writer

Obsession or Passion?Without uestion this is my favorite story by this author  Two guys meet unexpectedly and discover that their preconceived impressions of each other might reuire reconsideration  Aiden noticed the Sexy Artist Guy drawing during the baseball games He was always sitting with an older man; perhaps a grandfather The colorful and interesting Jesse tried to speak to Aiden once earlier at a game and was ignored When Aiden was focused on his numbers statistics he was difficult to distract By the time he realized that someone was speaking to him it was often too late to respond Besides what on earth could that hot gorgeous guy want with Aiden? There is much to Jesse than initially portrayed  His motto of one and done protected him from being left again and allowed him to control the situation Yes he is an artist but even this must be on his own terms  Jesse's devotion to his grandfather was undisputed and a key measure of his characterLearning to communicate was not in the plan for Aiden but perhaps he used his It's how I am excuse a bit too much  The uestion is did he want to change   Aiden's life is structured and living with his mother is very safe Safe but boring and lonelyI really enjoyed watching Aiden's developed awareness of how his behavior affected Jesse as well as his interpretation of Jesse's expressions and actions  Well Done  This is definitely one to recommend to your friends
