The last entry in the series Like the other comics, as a basic visual overview of the battle, it s pretty good.

Not sure why I even have these they re recent publications, so not remnants from my childhood like much of my Civil War stuff However, this four volume set offers a fairly decent comic book introduction to some of the war s major battles, and introduces some minor historical figures I hadn t heard of before Unfortunately, I only have the books for Gettysburg and Bull Run, which are the two battlefields I ve visited the most and therefore know the best Would much prefer to have the Shiloh Not sure why I even have these they re recent publications, so not remnants from my childhood like much of my Civil War stuff However, this four volume set offers a fairly decent comic book introduction to some of the war s major battles, and introduces some minor historical figures I hadn t heard of before Unfortunately, I only have the books for Gettysburg and Bull Run, which are the two battlefields I ve visited the most and therefore know the best Would much prefer to have the Shiloh and Antietam books, but these are surprisingly pricey onso am not going to buy them

I read this for as my graphic novel So so book that seems to fudge history a bit Has a big bias towards the union army Does show me the importance of using graphic novels however especially in social studies.

  4. Jazmen Kearney Jazmen Kearney says:

Good way to talk about Gettysburg, especially for visual learners great use of images incorporated with text.

  5. Ted Henkle Ted Henkle says:

A decent overview of the battle, although it perpetuates the myth that it started because Confederate troops were on a quest for shoes.
